  • July 30, 2008: CSA International signs agreement with VDE to provide testing services for European market;
    CLEVELAND, OH, July 30 /PRNewswire/ – CSA International, a leading
    certification and testing organization, today announced that it has signed
    a reciprocal product testing agreement to provide testing services in North
    America and Asia, on behalf of VDE, for products destined for European
    markets. A similar reciprocal agreement allows VDE to conduct testing to
    North American standards on behalf of CSA International. These significant
    agreements signify a continuation of the long-lasting cooperation between
    CSA International and the VDE Association for Electrical, Electronic &
    Information Technologies of Frankfurt, Germany. For further info click link above:
  • June 28, 2008:
    Underwriters Laboratories (UL) has introduced a new holographic UL Mark that will be required in 32 common consumer product areas, including power supply cords, nightlights and ceiling fans.
    The redesigned label incorporates cutting-edge technology, elevated security features and a unique hologram design, making it easy to identify and validate, yet incredibly difficult to replicate. The new holographic label will be available for manufacturers on July 1, 2008. It will be required worldwide on all new production in the 32 hologram categories starting July 1, 2009.
